Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports
While finishing my undergrad I was able to prove myself creatively and actively contribute to promoting the city. Before working there, their website averaged 143 sessions per day, and while there it was up to 238 sessions. Under the Marketing Director, I wrote copy, blogs, building websites, drafting social media posts and generated in-house content. The concept was “ Tuscaloosa The One & Only” which showcased how unique this southern college town can be. Going beyond football in the fall and exploring all our four seasons have to offer in this small city.
Best Selling Blogs
Writing blogs for Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports was a bulk of the work I did. Whether it was interviewing notable people around town or drawing up top five listicles. My top work for the site was as follows:
The Tuscaloosa Staycation Guide: 925 sessions
Top Holiday Events In Tuscaloosa: 856 sessions
The Tuscaloosa Bucket List : 1080 sessions
While at TTS, I assisted in the launch of their new website, as well as building event sites for The Alabama Veterans Reunion and The Druid City Arts Festival. The main site needed updated pages for any new or closed businesses. The Event sites needed to be built from scratch to feel updated and new for the new year of each event.
Another aspect of work for TTS came in building up their social media. Working under the digital media specialist's guidance, I regularly wrote out tweets, Facebook posts, and occasionally emails for our followers. I also helped build up a collection of photos for posting and drawing up original Snapchat filters.

Working in Illustrator, I built several possible snapchat filters for the Druid City Arts Festival. This selected work was chosen to be placed around Tuscaloosa as a promotion for the event.
